Error: The server application,...due to ClipArt registry settings removed.
Error:
The server application, source file, or item cannot be found. You should reinstall the server application.
Cause:
This error occurs in PowerPoint when choosing 'Insert Clip Art' or selecting 'Clip Art' from the 'Insert' menu. ClipArt Gallery was removed using Add/Remove programs and then added again by running Setup. Initially, when ClipArt Gallery is removed, the actual files are not removed from the computer (this is by design). When reinstalling ClipArt Gallery again, the Registry settings are removed.
Solution:
Locate the ARTGALRY.CAG file and run it.
1) Use the Windows Find utility to locate the MSAPPS folder:
a) Click 'Start' to display the Windows 'Start' menu.
Start menu
b) Select 'Find' and select 'Files or Folders...'.
c) Type ARTGALRY.CAG in the 'Named' box.
d) Click 'Browse...'.
e) Select the network drive or local drive containing the ARTGALRY.CAG file.
f) Select 'Include all subfolders'.
g) Click 'Find Now'.
2) Double-click on the ARTGALRY.EXE file to run it.
NOTE: The following error message will appear: 'The ClipArt Gallery may only be used to embed objects. It must be started from within another application'.
3) Click 'OK' when prompted.
4) Close then restart the application (PowerPoint or Word) in order so that ClipArt Gallery may appear in the Object dialog box.
